THE 'FOOD FOR THOUGHT' GUY

So my dear friend Co-Co got up real urly this morning and got us tickets for the 9AM screening of CONTROL, the new movie by Anton Corbijn at the Toronto International Film Festival. Sweet of her, no?

So the movie was amazing and Anton Corbijn was there to introduce it and such forth. I won't go on about it, cause this is about the douchebag that I always end up sitting beside.

This particular breed of douche, as Cody so aptly called him, is the "Food-For-Thought Guy." I also like to call him the "Yes-That's-Right Guy." You see, what he does is this: Say, perhaps, there's an interesting or poignant bit of dialogue or something is shown to us. It's quite obvious that this line is poignant or the image is important. For example, a confused little Ian Curtis writing "I've always loved you, and I always will," or something like that. It's well delivered, and blatantly sentimental, but a nice moment nonetheless. I'm enjoying its emotional impact and the fucking a-hole beside me lets out a loud "Hm" to let everyone know he heard the line.

Shit like that fuckin kills me. And it was through the whole movie. Early on there was a shot of some books in Ian Curtis' adolescent bedroom. Dickhole says "Ahh" like he's the only other person who has heard of those books.

That's like the time I went to see Brokeback Mountain (I know, typical) and some stupid fags started saying "Ooooh gurl!" and laughing when Michelle "Marshmallow" Williams catches Jakey and Heath kissing.

Anyway, that's my two cents. I'm sure tons of people hate me.
